Happy Australia Day!
We have all just enjoyed a long weekend of sun, surf and shrimps on the Barbie! Maybe even a beer or two. One of the other great things about the long weekend is the Criterium Cycling Series. It was even more special this year because Bec was racing.
There was some fast cycling action through the streets of Joondalup, Leederville, Vic Park and in the City.
Stage 3 in Vic Park was exciting and winners were grinners as Bec took line honours sprinting to the end and having an awesome tactical race. She was consistent across the entire weekend and finished 3 overall for the series. Watch out for this one at the track Nationals!
Congratulations also to Davina Summers who won the series overall wearing the leaders pink jersey all weekend.
Yesterday morning it was time! Time for me to test the body out and do a little something at race pace! I woke up and couldn't believe it! I was doing a triathlon. It was a sprint, 750/20/5 but seriously they hurt just as bad because you want to go harder and faster over the short distance.
It was all a reminder that the body still has it and the next 24 hours will be the key with hopefully no pain in the back and minimal in the arm. So far so good, just feeling a little tired and sore. Nothing that a good massage can't fix!
