There is no better way to start the new year than with great friends, a quiet drink and fun in the sun. There was no denying yesterday was a scorching but Nat, Bec, Matt, Shannon and Kerry came over for a good gossip, a drink and a dip in the pool.
Bec and Matt provided plenty of entertainment for us all. Bec willing to begin the wrestle but knew her chances of coming out successful were very slim. Matt did eventually use some tactics that were against the rules but I won't reveal what they were!
Shannon took his time getting in. Yes, it was a little cold to begin with, but now he has decided to do Ironman Canada, he might as well get used to spending a lot more time in the water!
Matt was the last to get in! But he had better enjoy the sun! He is off to London next week for a week conference and appears to be dreading the cold temperatures and planning on spending most of his time in doors with a good beer! (at an Aussie pub of course!)
The day was topped off with a good feed at the local pub, although I must admit the service was a little slow. Normally it wouldn't matter but we were all pretty hungry so the time seemed to be twice as long. Once my steak burger came out though I was happy.
Tomorrow is the Hens Party for my "sister in law" to be. We have plenty of afternoon fun activities planned, dinner at Burswood Resort and a room for the Brides Maids to stay and enjoy a leisurely Sunday morning.
But there is a 5 hour hill ride to do first tomorrow morning, then the fun begins!!
